For Students in Grades 1-12
The RBCS Summer School Program is designed primarily to serve the remedial needs of students who require additional work to enter their desired grade level for the next academic year.
SUMMER SCHOOL DATES: Monday, June 11 – Thursday, July 12: 8 AM – 12 PM
(All Summer School classes will be held on Monday through Thursday in the Academy building)
APPLICATION PROCEDURE:
1. Submit a Summer School Registration Form to Mrs. Bilby
2. Schedule a CAT testing (if needed)
3. Pay tuition no later than Thursday, June 7
4. Report for first class no later that 7:50 AM, June 11
REGISTRATION: To enroll a child in the RBCS Summer School, fill out a Registration Form available from the RBCS Business Office, Elementary Office, and Academy Office.
TUITION: A tuition fee of $565.00 is due no later than Thursday, June 7, Tuition covers instructional costs and books.
TESTING: New registrants who do not have a previous Stanford Achievement Test must take the California Achievement Test to determine the need for Summer School and the appropriate level of instruction.
Testing dates: Sat. May12, Sat. May 19, and Sat. June 9, 2012
TRANSPORTATION: RBCS does not provide transportation specifically for the Summer School Program. Students in the Niceville/Bluewater Bay and Valparaiso area can, however, use the RBCS bus transportation system for Summer Day Camp (morning only). All students must be picked up at 12:00 noon unless attending afternoon RBCS summer camps. Interested parents should contact the school by May 25. Parents should be contacted for the bus pick-up information by Sunday, June 10. The weekly cost of this bus service is as follows: Valparaiso/Niceville/Bluewater: $30/$23/$18 (1st/2nd/3rd or more child); Bus fee from Shalimar/Eglin/Fort Walton: $35 per child.
START OF SUMMER SCHOOL: All students must check in with the RBCS Academy office no later than 7:50 AM, Monday, June 11.
DRESS CODE: Students attending Summer School must adhere to the RBCS Casual Day Dress Code.
ATTENDANCE: Students must attend the entire Summer School to receive credit, unless they are excused for illness. Students will be responsible for all missed work due to illness.
