Science Camps 2011

RBCS's science summer camps are packed full of learning opportunities to peak your child's natural curiosity. Students will be kept on their toes by the dynamic hands-on activities. They will safely explore and witness the best demonstrations and labs.


CRAZY SCIENTIST 1 and 1A CAMPS:  Students will observe the secrets of living things and everyday matter unfolding before their eyes. There will be some dissection (Egor), some smoke, bangs, color changes, and flashes of light to observe.

Crazy Scientist 1 Date: June 13 -- June 17   Monday-Friday

Crazy Scientist 1A Date: June 27 -- July 1   Monday-Friday

Time: 12:30 PM to 4 PM

Cost: $75

Age: 7-15

Bring: Snack and drink as desired

Register and pay by 4 PM on June 6 for Crazy Scientist 1 and on June 20 for Crazy Scientist 1A to avoid a $10 late fee.

CRAZY SCIENTIST 2 CAMP:  This camp is similar to Crazy Scientist 1 and 1A, but different crazy activities are engaged in and observed.

Date: July 11-July 15   Monday-Friday

Time: 12:30 PM to 4 PM

Cost: $75

Age: 7-15

Bring: Snack and drink as desired

Register and pay by 4 PM on July 5 to avoid a $10 late fee.

CRAZY SCIENTIST 3 CAMP:  This camp is similar to Crazy Scientist 1,1A, and 2, but different crazy activities are engaged in and observed.

Date: July 18-July 22   Monday-Friday

Time: 12:30 PM to 4 PM

Cost: $75

Age: 7-15

Bring: Snack and drink as desired

Register and pay by 4 PM on July 11 to avoid a $10 late fee.

ENGINEERING (Nuts & Bolts):  In this camp, students will build model airplanes designed for the longest flight as the goal, will build bridges for the most weight bearing capacity, and will construct mouse trap cars to go the farthest distance. Students will also do an electronic project with flashing lights.

Date: July 25-July 29   Monday-Friday

Time: 12:30 PM to 4 PM

Cost: $75

Age: 10-15

Bring: Snack and drink as desired

Register and pay by 4 PM on July 18 to avoid a $10 late fee.
