Kinder Knights Educational Program 2011

RBCS Kinder Knight Educational Program (KK) is our summer preschool academic enrichment program. Each week, there is educational instruction and plenty of other activities such as crafts, activity centers, and a weekly field trip to the Niceville Library and Children's Park.

Ages:  3 to 5

Dates:  June 6 to July 29

Time:  8 AM to 4 PM

Registration & Costs:  This program may be paid for weekly with payment due on Monday, one week prior to any weekly program start date. This program maintains an experienced and professionally trained staff with a better than 12 to 1 student to adult staff ratio.

Activities:  Our caring staff will provide a high-quality, Christ-centered program that includes weekly:

    Daily Bible Lessons

    Reading

    Math

    Arts & Crafts

    History

    Science

    Centers

    Games

    Playground Time

Bring:  Each child should bring a towel, swim wear, SPF-15 (or better) sunscreen, and tennis shoes in a carry-all bag. Please mark ALL possessions/clothing with your child's name or initials.

Transportation:  Bus pick-up and drop-off will be provided at centralized pick-up points. We plan to provide bus service in Valparaiso, Niceville, and Bluewater Bay. The cost for transportation is $27 per week for the first child, $20 per week for the second child, and $15 per week for each additional child. We anticipate a limited bus service on Eglin AFB for $30 per week for the first child and in Shalimar and Fort Walton Beach for $35 per week for the first child. Your child's bus driver will contact you concerning bus stops and times. Please communicate with the Summer Program office (729-7227, ext 273) concerning any changes in your schedule. Lunch Supplies:  Please send a sack lunch and drink with your child daily. Water is offered frequently. We ask that parents bring in a snack for the whole class two times per summer. They may sign up for a specific date or provide a non-perishable snack that we can distribute when needed. A list of good snacks to bring is provided with the information packet when you bring your child the first day.

Helpers:  13 to 17 year - olds may volunteer to help with this program. Click on the Helper Application button. Bus service for helpers will cost $1 per trip for Valparaiso, Niceville, or Bluewater Bay and $2 per trip for Eglin, Shalimar or Fort Walton Beach.
