"All scripture is breathed out by God and is profitable for teaching, for refuting error, for correcting, for training in righteousness, in order that the man who is of God may be fully qualified-being equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
It is the intentional design of the Academy Bible Department to emphasize the academic aspects of scripture somewhat more heavily than the application. The conviction is that if a student has a good working knowledge of God's word, that student will be able to apply that word to changing areas of life. The goal of the RBCS Academy Bible Department is to give students the equivalent of a first year of Bible college in terms of their ability to handle and rightly divide God's word, culminating in a year of Systematic Theology for advanced students. That does not mean that application is not taught, it is, yet our primary goal is to lay a Scriptural foundation upon which student can live a life that honors God in all areas.
