Symphonic Band

Symphonic Band is comprised mainly of 9-12th graders, and is open to auditions. The Symphonic band members participate in marching band, Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA) Solo & Ensemble and Concert Assessments, Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (FACCS) Fine Arts Competition, school concerts, drama department musical productions, and many community events each year. Students learn and perform high quality, varied styles of music in concert settings. We strive to play music for the glory of our Lord and Savior. The Symphonic Band has received 1st place in the state at FACCS four times, and 2nd place twice. They have consistently received Superior and Excellent ratings at FBA Concert Music Performance Assessment each year. This year they traveled to Orlando to participate in Disney Magic Music Days, and are performing in the Drama Departments performance of the musical Bye, Bye, Birdie. The Symphonic Band performs in many community events each year, such as National Day of Prayer and Pastor Appreciation Day. For the second year in a row, they will perform to welcome home World War II Veterans at North West Florida sponsored Honor Flight.
