At the October meeting of the RBCS Shakespeare Club, members wrote letters to our soldiers, thanking them for their service. We sent these to Matt Williams, an RBCS alumni, who is a chaplain in Afghanistan. He will distribute these to soldiers who do not get mail. At the November meeting of the RBCS Shakespeare Club, members who pay a monthly membership fee sponsored a care package to our servicemen in Afghanistan. To assist Matt, we made a box of items which he requested to help him serve our military men and women and the Afghan children whom they befriend: small spiral notebooks and pens for the children, small boxes of raisins, Boost, and Christmas cards written by our club members, thanking our soldiers for their service and sacrifices and wishing them a blessed Christmas. Students especially thanked them for their service which protects our freedom to celebrate this holiday with our families. We will continue throughout the year sending a monthly care box. Shakespeare Club Trips

The Shakespeare Club is sponsoring trips to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival theatre in Montgomery , Alabama .  
$20.00 per play....Due by Oct 10..
1. A Christmas Carol: The Musical on November 21, 2008,
2. The Comedy of Errors  on February 18, 2008, and
3. Othello on March 18, 2009.

Everyone is welcome..... Students & Parents!

      To those interested in our London, Scotland, and Ireland trip in June of 2009: There is reason to be excited about this wonderful trip, so we must attend to some paper work to meet our first deadline in May. For those who could not attend our first London Trip meeting on April 3, I am offering several dates for you to choose the one convenient for you. At this meeting, I will answer your questions, help you fill out your application, advise you on the best form of payment, and make sure you know the schedule for future payments. If you can not attend either of these meetings, please let me know and I will walk you through the process over the phone.

London Trip Dates at 3:30 in my classroom # 731 in the academy: Thursday, April 17, Tuesday, April 22, or Tuesday, April 29.
