RBCS Financial Aid Information
Purpose Our desire for the RBCS financial aid program is to be able to provide Christian families a quality Christian education. We believe that we need to implement a balanced transition to a fiscal policy that will charge what it costs to educate a child at RBCS while, at the same time, remain sensitive to the real needs of Christian families whose income cannot support the full cost of giving their children a quality Christian education. In the following paragraphs, you will find financial aid information which will help you determine the options relevant for your family.

states. They have been in business since 1986 and specialize in

If you would like to complete an application online, you may go to https://www.factstuitionaid.com/facts/gaindex Children First Florida Scholarship: Children First Florida Scholarship is an external scholarship program for which RBCS is a participating school. They may be issuing scholarships for the 2008-2009 year if funds are available. They are a non-profit organization, and are funded by Florida’s corporate tax credit for scholarships to low-income children.
Ministerial Discounts: In recognition of the value of the ministry of active full time ordained persons to the work and advancement of the Kingdom of God, and recognizing that such persons are normally provided limited incomes by their ministries, RBCS provides this discount to enable such persons to obtain a Christian education for their children (minister must be legal guardian of the child(ren) living in their home).
John M. McKay Scholarships for Students with Disabilities: The McKay Scholarship is an external scholarship for which RBCS is currently a participating school. The student must currently be on an IEP. The program gives families who are not satisfied with their child’s progress in the assigned public school the option to enroll their child in a different public school, or to obtain a scholarship usable to offset fees at a private school of choice.
Frequently Asked Questions How can families apply for financial aid? Financial aid forms for internal discounts and scholarships are available in the RBCS Business Office. The online addresses above must be used to pursue McKay and Children First Florida Scholarship. What final authority approves RBCS Financial Aid? The Superintendent, in consultation with a committee composed of the Business Manager and the Operations Director, approves funded scholarships. We will follow FFNA recommendations for needs based aid. We will also honor external scholarships for students who have been accepted to RBCS. What happens when more financial aid is requested than there is in the Scholarship Fund? Insufficient funding will force us to turn down applications until funding is received. Do scholarship students stay on scholarship regardless of performance? No. Students must meet academic and behavioral standards to remain enrolled in RBCS. Granting financial aid or a scholarship does not guarantee continued enrollment.
How can churches, business firms, and individuals support the RBCS Scholarship Fund to help needy families obtain a Christian education for their children?
Are donations to the RBCS Scholarship Fund tax deductible? Yes, providing no restrictions are placed on the donation.
