Job Description: Must have 10 years’ experience in the Accounting or Business related field. Must be able to prepare budgets and financial statements. Must have a good understanding of accounting principles and have at least 5 years’ experience in managing employees. Maintain financial records and procedures that protect the interest of the school. Prepare monthly income statement and balance sheets. Advise Superintendent with weekly cash position. Balance monthly bank statements. Serve as contact for CPA and auditors. Assist with and ensure all quarterly/annual reports are filed. Prepare annual budget with Ops Director and Superintendent. Manage and coordinate the Workers Compensation program, Liability and Business Property Insurance program, and Student Accident Insurance program. Provide and establish financial and enrollment policies. Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. Cooperate with the Board and administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school. Must have a sense of calling by God as a Chief Financial Officer.
Required Personal Qualities: Member at a local church which has fundamental beliefs in agreement with historic Christian orthodoxy. Be in whole-hearted agreement with the school's Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, gratitude, kindness, self-control, perseverance, and punctuality.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field. Must be able to multi-task and have outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, administrative leadership ability, and outstanding computer skills to include a complete knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel. Working knowledge of Human Resources policies, state and federal labor/payroll laws, insurance, and banking policies. Thorough understanding of accounting standards, practices, and procedures. Experience in a school, church, or a not-for-profit, preferred. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement.
