Pastor Harold Thomas, President

Pastor Thomas began pastoring in 1962. He has pastored churches in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Florida. He was the founding pastor of Forest Lake Bible Church and is currently serving at Grace Presbyterian Church. He is a cofounder of Rocky Bayou Christian School and taught Bible here until 2006 and is now working in the IT department. Pastor Thomas earned his BA from Crichton College and a MTh from Dallas Theological Seminary. He is married to Betty Joyce Thomas, Academy English teacher and has four daughters (all RBCS graduates) and four grandchildren (one RBCS graduate).

Pastor A. Michael Schneider III has been in the ministry since 1966.  He is a graduate of Belhaven College in Jackson, MS (1963), and Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA (1966). He has served pastorates in Williamston, S.C.; Alexandria, LA; Jackson, MS; and has been Pastor of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Valparaiso, FL, since 1986. He is Presiding Minister of Athanasius Presbytery of the Confederation of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC) in the southeastern US. He was married in 1967 has three grown children, all graduates of Rocky Bayou Christian School. Pastor Schneider taught Bible at RBCS from 1986-1999.

 

Dr. Bob GreteDr. Robert L. Grete, Secretary

Dr. Grete retired from the USAF after 21.5 years of service and over 5,700 pilot flying hours. Dr. Grete was a co-founder of RBCS in 1973 and retired as Superintendent in June 2005 to undergo orthopedic surgeries. He resumed the office of Superintendent upon the June 2009 resignation of Dr. Donald Larson, who accepted a call to an inner city ministry in North Carolina. Dr. Grete serves on the Board of Directors for RBCS, and continues to teach American History, Economics, and US Government. He received his BS from the United States Military Academy, a Masters from Baylor University, and a MBA from Auburn University. He received an Honorary Doctor of Pedagogy from Clearwater Christian College. He has been married for over 50 years to Katherine Grete and has six children and 32 grandchildren. He is an elder at Grace Presbyterian Church.


Marilyn BilbyMarilyn Bilby

Marilyn began as a teacher's assistant in 1983 and became a teacher the next year. After teaching in elementary grades 1st - 4th, she became principal of the elementary and kindergarten programs in 2003. Besides being a member of the faculty, Marilyn also serves on the Board of Directors of RBCS. She received her BA in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida. She completed a Master's degree program in Educational Administration from Pensacola Christian College in 2005. Marilyn is married to her husband of 36 years, Ben. Their three daughters are all graduates of RBCS -- '93, '94, and '97. They are grandparents to five precious grandchildren. She is a member of Covenant Community Church.



Erik Stoer, PhDErik Stoer, PhD

Dr. Stoer has served on the RBCS Board of Directors since 1985. He retired in 2007 after a 34-year career in federal civil service where he worked in missile and weapon development, and a 30-year Air Force career on active duty and as a reservist, retiring from the Pentagon in 2003. Erik currently works as an aerospace industry consultant. His formal education includes a BS, Industrial Management from Louisiana Tech University, an MPA, Troy State University, 1988, and an earned PhD from Florida State University, 2001. He is married to the former Mary Frances Bennett of Dubach, Louisiana. They have two daughters (both RBCS grads) and six grandchildren. He is an elder at Trinity Presbyterian Church.



Robert C. GreteRobert C. Grete

Robert C. Grete is a graduate of Rocky Bayou Christian School (Class of 1982) and Liberty University with a BS in Accounting. After working two years in public accounting, he served the next seventeen managing the business operations at Rocky Bayou Christian School. Mr. Grete owns and operates a business here in the panhandle of Florida and resides in Niceville with his wife and four children. He is a deacon at Grace Presbyterian Church.



Bob Huisken

Bob Huisken, with his brother, built a meat-packing business from a butcher shop. After selling the business, he moved to Niceville to put his sons in school at RBCS. His passion is equipping youth with the ability to give an answer to the world for the faith that is in them. He has been married since 1973 and has 4 sons and 1 daughter. He attends Rocky Bayou Baptist Church.
